The series has Loads and Loads of Characters. Perhaps you have seen me rave about them? For certain they are my favorite books of all time. Taking place in a sprawling, lush reimagining of early modern Europe, Kushiel's Chosen picks up right after the events of Kushiel's Dart. A description of tropes appearing in Kushiels Legacy. While it may disappoint some readers, Kushiel's Chosen has much less sex and far more political intrigue than Kushiel's Dart did, which suits me just fine. Kushiel's Chosen is the second book about Phedre Montreve, Nightblooming Flower of the Night Court, Comtesse de Montreve and Courtesan extraordinare. Okay, so, I'm re-reading Chosen and Phedre has decided to return to Namaah's service. I think if somebody has joined a Kushiel fan community it's pretty safe to say they've at least read the first book. This isn't a review of one book, it's more of an overview of the first trilogy of Kushiel's Legacy by Jacqueline Carey.
